Our summer program "Homestead Days" was a big hit! We would love to extend knowledge and experiences through the fall and winter season!
This is a indoor/outdoor program. Children will gain knowledge in basic skills. Each class is designed for a one time visit, or multiple visits to keep continuing to build on the skills they are aquring! Not only are children learning, they are experiencing things hands on and building friendships. This is a 9-month, one day a month class Classes are 5 hours long and run from 9 am - 2 pm This is a drop off event. All materials are included Ages 6-12 years old! 9 months course - $425.00 save 25.00 4 Month course - $185.00 save 15.00 Drop in 1 class - $50.00 All spots must be paid in advance to reserve spot Classes are limited to 5 kids

The Class!
This class is centered around basic skills and also fruits of the spirit!
Class does not include everything in one class...classes are rotating and changing but these are some of the things that classes will include at different times:
We will be working through a Farm Anatomy work book!
Basic Cooking Skills (We will be making a snack on property) They will learn how to measure , cut and cook food. Proper temperatures and basic food sanitation.
Basic Sewing Skills - Children will learn how to sew a button on a shirt or piece of fabric. And other basic sewing skills
Money counting - We will work on the value of money and coins and solve problems in giving money and giving change.
Bread Making- Children will get to experience how to make homemade bread!
Basic tools- Children will learn how to use a screwdriver, wrench and hammer
Knot tying - Children will learn how to tie simple knots
Jam Making- Children will learn how to make homemade jam !
Tractor- will learn what a tractor is and also get to operate the backhoe and bucket
Pottery making- children will design a cup or bowl out of clay and paint and design whatever they want!
Painting- Children will follow a step by step instruction on painting a specific painting
Animal care- We have goats, chickens and a llama on our property! Children will get outside time to interact with the animals, help with feedings and care for them.
Reading- Children will have time to read outloud in a group
Yoga - We will work through very basic yoga moves for not only learning to relax but also stretching
Team game/project- Children will work together to create or accomplish something together
Trash pick up- on nice days we will walk in the neighborhood and with bags and gloves clean up any trash and litter together
Craft- Children will craft a project that they can bring home that day!
Physical Activity- Children will have an opportunity to play on zipline and trampoline
Journaling- We encourage children to write and express feelings. Each child will have opportunity to journal
Lesson on Fruits of the Spirit- regardless if you believe or don't, the fruits of the spirits include: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. We will have lessons on what each of these mean and open discussions. When each lesson is complete they will receive a charm that represents that "fruit" and will build a bracelet that they can wear and remind them how we should treat others.
We will be adding more activities as we grow! Parents will recieve a more detailed agenda of the day a week before class.
Please understand there are no refunds if you have to cancel. We will be more then happy to move a child to a different day, but cannot refund money for that slot, materials will be purchased in advance for the class.

Our goal is to provide children with something new, but to also give them something they will remember forever! Our days are centered around serving our animals, caring for them, working together as a team and respect for each other and the animals.
